Today's News

“The Trax is Chevy’s foray into the subcompact CUV space, which is poised to explode starting early next year,” said Akshay Anand, senior analyst for Kelley Blue Book Insights. “We expect the segment to do well, but seeing as there will be several models launched in the same general timeframe as one another, OEMs have their work cut out for them as competition will be stiff. The segment provides consumers with utility, good gas mileage, good perceptions of safety, and more. A recent kbb.com Market Intelligence study also showed that consumers pay attention to styling, technology, and fuel efficiency when considering a smaller CUV. The Trax should do well in the segment as Chevy builds off what’s shaping up to be a relatively solid 2014 from a sales and average transaction price perspective.”
