The Forester carries a base manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $21,995, featuring a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine with roughly 170 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. The continuous variable timing transmission on the standard Forester should support 24 city/32 highway mpg, while the turbocharged variants carry mpg ratings of 23/28 respectively.
